A new law that went into effect Wednesday, July 1, allows liquor stores to stay open one hour longer.

Sales are now extended from 9 to 10 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays. The longer hours are an option -- stores are not required to stay open that late. The cutoff time on Sundays remains at 6 p.m.
