FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — In accordance with a proclamation from President Barack Obama, U.S. and state flags in Connecticut should fly at half-staff through sunset on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to honor the victims of the shooting in Roseburg, Ore., Gov. Dannel Malloy announced.

The lowering of flags in honor of the victims of the Oregon tragedy this year coincides with Sunday’s Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, in honor of which flags would normally be lowered on that date.
