Its new location is diagonally across the street from its former location at the Yerwood Center.

At the same time, it launched the naming of the new facility to “New Covenant Center."

The New Covenant Center now contains a pantry, kitchen, café, loading dock, offices, conference room, social media/computer room, consultation rooms and a medical room to help those in need of physical exams and consultations. It also contains a laundry room, a shower and a barber shop.

The pantry is stocked with canned and boxed goods, fresh produce, bread and meats donated by the Stamford and Connecticut Food Banks, as well as local food drives.

In addition, it receives food from local supermarkets.

No requirement is necessary except one must be “hungry.”

The café has a capacity to seat 72 individuals and serves lunch and dinner 365 days per year. More than 700,000 meals were served last year. A take-away breakfast is provided for dinner guests.
