FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – A flash flood watch is in effect until 4 p.m. Tuesday in Fairfield County, according to the National Weather Service.
The heavy morning rain and thunderstorms will subside in Fairfield County before a new round of storms is expected late Tuesday afternoon. Some of the storms could produce damaging winds, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Chance of rain is 50 percent.
