NORWALK, Conn. — A mother and two children were held at gunpoint Friday afternoon by two men who broke into their Longview Court home armed with handguns during a home invasion and robbery, said Norwalk Police Chief Harry Rilling.
Rilling would not confirm what was taken, but police reports indicated a safe containing two handguns, cash and ammunition was targeted and removed during the robbery.
The woman told police that two black men, both about 5 feet, 10 inches, broke into the house brandishing handguns. One was wearing a mask; the other had on a black hoodie and jeans, police reports said. Rilling said the two men fled in a white car heading toward Stamford.
“No shots were fired, and nobody was hurt,” Rilling said. He said the department’s Detective Bureau was investigating.

A Longview Court apartment that was targeted by two men in a home invasion on Friday had been burglarized on prior occasions, according to police.
Police responded to the residence five times in 2011. A male resident of 7 Longview Court reported that his car was burglarized on three separate occasions in October 2011, and tools, GPS devices and moving supplies, were stolen from the vehicle, police said. His apartment was also reportedly broken into, and a surround sound stereo system valued at $600 went missing, police said.

The Norwalk out of control crime epidemic continues. Just add this to the long long list of unsolved crimes by the NPD.
How do they know the robbers left, heading toward Stamford ? Whoever they were, they had inside information, that there was a safe and what was in it. Sounds like they were after more than a couple of handguns.
