Opera, Tax Relief Highlight Activities At Fairfield Senior Center

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Senior Center has announced important updates and several upcoming programs, including an opera, tax aid and more.

Upcoming events and announcements at the senior center include:

  • The Senior Center will be closed Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4. 
  • A free, live performance of operatic selections by noted mezzo soprano Julia Benzinger will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8. 
  • Fairfield Tax Assessor Don Ross will review changes to Fairfield's Senior Tax Relief program at 9:30 a.m Thursday, April 2. All are welcome and the event is free. 
  • The AARP Tax Aide continues, by appointment only, from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Wednesday. 
  • The Legacy Writer's Workshop with Amy Luciano will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, starting April 7. The cost is $40 for an eight-class session. Registration is required. 
  • Zumba with Barbara Gianninoto will be at 5 p.m. Thursdays, starting April 9. The cost is $40 for an eight-class session. Registration is required. 
  • Tai Chi with Bill Wrenn will be at 5 p.m. Thursdays, starting April 9. The cost is $40 for an eight-class session. Registration is required.
