Power Outages Hit Hundreds In Westport, Fairfield

WESTPORT, Conn. – The worst of Thursday night’s fast-moving thunderstorm has passed, but reports of power outages are still climbing in Westport and Fairfield.

As of 9:20 p.m., Connecticut Light and Power reported 135 outages in Westport and 448 outages were reported by United Illuminated in Fairfield.

In Westport, there have been reports of downed trees and wires on Catamount and Easton Roads, Florian Court, Tupelo Road, and a tree limb on wires on Bayberry Lane.

Dana McCreesh, a resident of Acorn Lane in Southport, reported via email that her street is without power.

The severe weather threats issued earlier by the National Weather Service are no longer in effect.
