FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Fairfield County lasting through 10 p.m. Thursday.
The service has also issued a flood advisory for the county through 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Drivers should take caution when going through low-drainage areas.
According to meteorologists at Accuweather, thunderstorms will be sporadic through the afternoon but can bring "blinding downpours and gusty winds."
The storm, they said, should break the humidity and bring cooler temperatures.
