The boy, who was identified as a student at nearby Fordham Prep, was killed, NBC Connecticut said.

Metro-North trains were delayed in both directions across Connecticut and New York, with huge backups reported at Grand Central, NBC Connecticut said.

Metro-North was still reporting delays as of 8:30 p.m. Monday on all lines and branches in both states. Train service had resumed in the Bronx, but trains were up to an hour behind schedule on the New Haven, Hudson and Harlem lines, and on the New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury branches as well.
