- Local man Joseph Russo, 45, was arrested and charged with threatening, an act of terrorism against one of the town's elementary schools.
- A Fairfield man, Thomas Golino, 64, was arrested after allegedly punching and kicking a pizza delivery car after he thought the driver was selling drugs to his son.
- Fairfield resident Michael Kondrat, 64, was charged with criminal trespassing for breaking into his former home on Four Seasons Road.
- The 20-year-old gunman who killed 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School acted alone, according to a report released by the state of Connecticut following its 11-month investigation.
