FAIRFIELD, Conn. Three Bridgeport residents were charged with shoplifting in two separate cases Wednesday afternoon in Fairfield. Emilia Rodriguez, 54, and Dennisse Charafeddine, 43, were arrested in connection with an incident at Rite Aid Pharmacy, and Petro Oliynyk, 64, were arrested at Home Depot.
A Fairfield Police officer spotted Rodriguez and Charafeddine sitting in a car parked in a handicapped spot outside the Post Road Pharmacy at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. When questioned, the two admitted stealing 25 items with a total value of about $125, police said. The stores manager also told the officer that Rodriguez had been warned to stay out of the store the previous afternoon.
Both women were charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy. Rodriguez was also charged with criminal trespassing. Both were released on a promise to appear in court, and will face charges on Nov. 3.
Home Depot store security told police that Oliynyk placed items worth about $52 in his pockets, then walked past the registers without paying before the guard stopped him. Police charged Oliynyk with sixth-degree larceny, and released him on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 7.

? Two Commerce Drive car dealerships reported thefts Wednesday afternoon. An employee at Audi of Fairfield told police that two Hispanic males stole a Porsche Boxter convertible at about 1 p.m. Wednesday. He described one of the suspects as a heavyset man in his 30s and the other as a thin man in his 20s.
The other incident occurred at Devan Infiniti down the road. The dealerships service manager discovered that someone stole pieces of the exhaust systems from six SUVs in their storage lot. Police believe the thieves were attempting to steal catalytic converters, a more valuable part, for scrap metal. The incident resulted in about $6,000 in damage to the vehicles.
? Two Fairfield homes were burglarized in separate parts of town Wednesday. In one case, an undetermined amount of jewelry was taken from a Woodside Circle home sometime Wednesday afternoon. Investigators believe the suspects gained entry through a door on the second floor of the home. Neighbors in the area did not report anything suspicious.
A 42-inch Vizio flat-screen TV and an undetermined amount of jewelry were stolen from a Sturges Highway home in the other incident. A resident on nearby Queens Grant Road spotted a man walking in her backyard earlier that day, and police believe he may be a suspect. She described the man as about 6 feet tall, in his 30s, with a medium build, wearing a gray V-neck sweater and khaki pants. She saw him get into a gray sedan, followed by a woman in a gray SUV with reddish-brown hair. Anyone with information should contact the Fairfield Police at 203-254-4800.
