What's Closed In Fairfield On Columbus Day

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Columbus Day weekend is here, which means certain town-run services will be closed Monday. Here’s a list of town facilities and their availability for Columbus Day:

  • Fairfield Public Schools will be open on a normal schedule Monday.
  • Both Old Town Hall and Sullivan Independence Hall are closed for business Monday.
  • The Fairfield Public Library’s two branches and the Pequot Library are closed Monday. The Fairfield Woods Branch Library also is closed Sunday.
  • The Parks and Recreation Fitness Center at 75 Mill Plain Road will be open its normal hours Monday, from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • The Fairfield Museum and History Center will be open its normal hours Monday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
