Adrienne B. Carley, 80, Of Fairfield, Teller Mechanics and Farmers Savings

FT. MYERS, Fla. - Adrienne Beverly (Campbell) Carley of Fairfield, and Fort Myers, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 23. She was 80.

Carley was born in Trumbull, Conn.; daughter of Frederick and Lilly Campbell, she had been a Fairfield resident most of her life. She was a of Black Rock Congregational Church and served as a choir member, Sunday school teacher, VBS craft coordinator and Pioneer Girls Leader. In her early years, she worked as a secretary at James Staples Company. She also worked at Camp of the Woods ministries both at their Adirondack campus and their Florida campus. Upon returning to Connecticut she worked as a teller for Mechanics and Farmers Savings Bank.

Carley is survived by her children, Dean Carley (Gail Granville) of Barrington R.I., Cynthia Barker (Bruce) of Trumbull Conn., and Gayle Hannay (Michael) of Westerlo, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; twin brother, Fred Campbell of Rutland Vt.; sister, Darlynne Patrignelli of Trumbull; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Neal Carpenter Carley; daughter, Sandra Carley; and brother, William Campbell of Boise Idaho.

A memorial service celebrating Carley's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at First Presbyterian Church, 2475 Easton Turnpike in Fairfield (Black Rock Congregational Church is currently under construction). Interment will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family at a reception immediately following the service.
