FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Alfred L. Pesavento of Fairfield died Oct. 15. She was 87.
Born in Fairfield, Pesavento was a lifelong resident. He served in the Navy during World War II, with the Sea Bees in the Pacific Theater. He worked for the Zandonella Builders for more than 25 years before joining his family's business at Hemlock Hardware until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Anna Grasso Pesavento. He is survived by a son, Alfred P. (Cathy) Pesavento, of Newtown, Conn.; a brother, John Pesavento, of Florida; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Eugene Pesavento.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lesko and Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield Center. A service will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Fairfield. Calling hours are from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
