FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Anna D. Adams, formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, Aug. 5. She was 84.
Adams was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Stamford, to Timothy Ryan and Anna Moffett Ryan. She was a 56 year resident of Fairfield and worked for many years at Exide Battery and retired from Fairfield University.
Adams is survived by her husband, Robert J Adams; sons, Scott E Adams (Karen) of Fairfield and Wayne R Adams (Jewel Patrick) of Trumbull; sisters, Mary Misencik (Michael) of Stamford and Patricia McQuillan of Seymour; brothers, Timothy Ryan of Stamford and Michael Ryan "Buster" of Darien; numerous nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Ellen Kennedy; and brothers, Edward Ryan, John "Jack" Ryan and William Ryan.
Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Burial will be private.
