Chueka was born in Bridgeport, she was a lifelong Fairfield resident. For many years she was employed as housekeeper for Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport. She and her husband served as co-commanders for American Legion Post 74 in Fairfield.
Chueka is survived by her sons, Michael K. Chueka, Jr. and James E. Chueka; daughters, Laura Fitzgerald and Susan Chueka; sister, Helen Pender; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael K. Chueka, Sr.; brother, John; and sister, Jenny.
Funeral services will take place Friday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport followed by committal in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chueka's memory to any organization for breast cancer awareness.
Arrangements are in the care of the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road.
