FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Anne Greenspan, 96, of Fairfield, died March 1 at The Jewish Home for the Elderly. She was a former resident of Bridgeport.
Greenspan was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida Greenspan, and was associated with Levitt's Department Store for many years. She was a very independent woman, lived alone, took public transportation and enjoyed being with her family for holidays and special occasions.
Greenspan is survived by her devoted nieces and nephews; Marshall (Sheila) Greenspan, Michael (Joni) Greenspan &andWilliam Greenspan all of Fairfield; Rick Greenspan of Killington, Vt.; Deborah Weinstein of Milford; Florence (Larry) Blum of Shelton; Charles (Ellen) Kruger of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Judy (Larry) Sacher of Marco Island, Fla.; Bernie (Judith) Greenspan of San Diego; and Jane Greenspan of West Hartford. She was predeceased by her siblings.
