Anthony J. Dombek, Jr., 69, Former Fairfield Resident, Worked For SNET

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Anthony J. Dombek, Jr. of Bridgeport, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Dec. 19. He was 69.

Dombek was born June 24, 1944, in Bridgeport to Anthony and Eva Csanadi Dombek, he was raised in Fairfield and resided there until moving to Bridgeport three years ago. A graduate of Ludlowe High School in 1962, he worked as an electrical engineer for SNET for 44 years before his retirement. He had been a member of Holy Cross Parish. He was a member of the Cartright Tower Building Committee.

Dombek is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Dombek Bowen, of Waterbury, Dana DiGrandi (Vincent) of Bethel; five grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Dombek of Oxford; a niece; former wife, Joann Pento Dombek, of Fairfield; several cousins; and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Dennis Dombek; and niece, Nancy Monteleone.

Funeral services will take place Monday, Dec. 23 at 9:45 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center and 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery.
