LoConte was born in Bridgeport and served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Dresser Industries for many years as a welder.
LoConte is survived by his wife, Dee LoConte; children, Karen Scinto, Gina Jontos and Dana Duff; sisters, Edith Napolitano, Bernice Moroni, Viola LoConte; grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Connecticut Hospice.
