Antoinette J. Farina, 99, Longtime Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Antoinette J. Farina, a longtime resident of Fairfield, died March 12. She was 99.

Farina was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Bakerton, Pa., to Michael and Camilla DeBernardi Columbus.

Farina is survived by two children, Judith Farina, of Fairfield, Joseph Farina (Barbara), of Madeira Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; a great grandchild; siblings, Rose Bonfili, Josephine Valenty, Alex Columbus, Michael Columbus, and Camilla Price, all of Florida; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Sylvio Farina; siblings, Henry Columbus, Mary Corselli, Louis Columbus, Joseph Columbus, and Paul Columbus.


Calling hours will be Wednesday (Today) from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. directly in Holy Family Church, with interment to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
