FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Antonio Manca of Fairfield died Nov. 25 in Wilton. He was 84.
Born July 14, 1928, in Sardinia, Italy, Manca was a longtime Fairfield resident. Prior to his retirement, Manca was a tool and die maker at Bridgeport Machines. He was married to Assunta Michelina Manca.
Manca also worked at Producto for many years. He loved to garden, make wine and tinker at his workbench.
Manca is survived by his wife; three children, Angie Valentino, of Fairfield, Rose Leggo, of Ansonia, Conn., and Salavatore (Debbie) Manca, of Georgia; two sisters, Maria Gunzi and Lucia Manca, both of Italy; and 13 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home in Fairfield Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Mausoleum.
