FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Arlene M. Johnson of Fairfield died Nov. 8. She was 84.
Johnson was born June 6, 1930, in Bridgeport. She was a graduate of Harding High School class of 1948, and the University of Bridgeport. She retired from the Remington Arms Co. as an accounting manager. Since 1986 she had been a tax counselor for the elderly under the auspices of the AARP in conjunction with the IRS. She had also been a docent and auditor since 1987 for the Fairfield Historical Society. She was a member of the Remington Retirees Club and the Fairfield High-Return Investment Club.
Johnson is survived by numerous cousins.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 directly at St. Thomas Church, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
