Avelina Foley Towle, 51, Worked As Paraprofessional In Fairfield Schools

CHICAGO, Ill. - Avelina Foley Towle of Chicago died Monday, May 26. She was 51.

Towle was the daughter of William and Marjorie Towle of Eau Claire, Wis. She graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1981 and later went on to receive her certificate in Early Childhood Education from Chippewa Valley Technical College. She worked at Burr Street and Osborn Hill Elementary Schools as a paraprofessional with special needs children in Fairfield. She also worked many years in various grocery stores located in Fairfield and Bridgeport.

Towle is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Towle, Deborah Williams, William (Julie) Towle, Edward (Natalie) Towle, Robert (Lynne) Towle, Margaret (John) Rein, Kevin Towle, John Towle and James (Jenni) Towle; 16 nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents. Calling hours are at the church one-hour prior to the service. A Memorial Mass will be jointly held Friday, May 30 at 11 a.m. for Evy and her mother, Marjorie, who died on May 8, at the Newman Parish in the Ecumenical Religious Center, 110 Garfield Ave., Eau Claire, Wis., with Father David Olson officiating. A luncheon reception at the Holiday Inn Eau Claire South will follow. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
