FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Beatrice 'Betsy' Swanson of Fairfield, a long-time resident of the Tarrytowns, N.Y., died Nov. 22. She was 93.
Swanson was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Tarrytown, to William and Fannie Neil Conover. She was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School and went on to serve as the court clerk of the Village of North Tarrytown for 30 years. She had moved to Fairfield, to be near her granddaughter. She had been a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors and the Tarrycrest Pool Club.
Swanson is survived by her son, Scott of Glacier, Wash.; a granddaughter; three great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; and daughter, Karen Swanson.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
