MONROE, Conn. - Benjamin Vreeland Limbert of Monroe, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Oct. 3. He was 80.
Limbert was born July 3, 1933, in Bridgeport, to Benjamin and Myrtle Limbert. He was formerly from Fairfield, but has been a resident of Monroe for the past 12 years. In 1952, he graduated from Shelton High School. He was a Navy veteran and served from 1953 until 1957. He retired from O&G Industries as a dispatcher.
Limbert is survived by his son, Benjamin Limbert of Illinois and Benjamin of New Hampshire; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dolores Limbert, of Monroe; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Dagmar; brothers, Harold, Donald, Robert and Everett; and sister, Janice.
A memorial service in celebration of Limbert’s life will be conducted Friday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. in Monroe Congregational Church, 34 Church St., Monroe.
