She was born in New York City to Stanley and Frances Obuszynski.
She lived in Stratford, Conn., before moving to Fairfield in 1944, doing part-time marketing research.
Friedland was predeceased by her husband, Herman, and a grandson, Bryan McGuire.
She is survived by three children, Philip Friedland and his wife, Dorothy of Green Valley, Ariz., Robert Friedland and his wife Louise of Sunapee, N.H. and Nancy McGuire of Bridgeport; a sister Lillian Guerin of Peekskill, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Stephen, Keith, Eric, Gregory and Amy; and five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Alisa, Noah, Billie and Austin.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, located at 39 South Benson Road in Fairfield.
A mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road in Fairfield.
Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
