Catherine (Kay) Leger, 77, Formerly Of Fairfield

SHELTON, Conn. – Catherine (Kay) Ross Leger, of Shelton, formerly of Fairfield and wife of 57 years to Clarence (Chuck) Leger, died Saturday, Jan. 16 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was 77.

Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily Ross. She was a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church in Shelton and, for many years, of Holy Family Church in Fairfield. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who delighted in time spent with her family and friends. She and her husband loved traveling. 

Survivors in addition to her husband, Chuck, include two daughters, Karen Anginoli and her husband, Rich, of Fairfield, and Janice Szabo and her husband, Fritz, of Newtown; eight grandchildren, Jessica Mazzone and her husband, Kris, Amy and Shannon Busko, Andrea, Nicholas and Lyndi Szabo, Krystin Wilson and her husband, Al and Jason Albarelli; a great-grandson, Graham Wilson; two step-grandchildren, Bree Segneri and her husband, Rich, and Audrey Anginoli; two step great-grandchildren, Reed and Wes Segneri; brothers and sisters Irene Morange, Charles Ross and his wife, Yvonne, Donald Ross, Shirley Barnard and Betty Varrone; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Denise Leger Busko; and her sister Evelyn Souza.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.
