Poole was born in 1935, in Bridgeport to Allen and Francis Reeday of Fairfield. A student of Fairfield Public Schools, she graduated from the University School in Bridgeport in 1954, and attended the University of Bridgeport. She worked for many years for Linebaugh and Company Insurance of Fairfield.
Poole is survived by her husband, Jesse L. Poole; sons, Tracy Kay (Melissa) of Rome, Italy, and Reed (Clackers) Kay (Cynthia) of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Sis (Ward) Strang of Fairfield, Conn.; and a grandson. She was predeceased by her parents; and former husband, Gerard Kay Jr.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27 at St. Thomas Church in Fairfield, Conn. There will also be a memorial at 12 p.m. Jan. 3, 2015, at the Foxfire Country Club in Naples. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
