Morehouse was a paraprofessional for the Fairfield Public School system for 25 years. She also worked for Fairfield Adaptive Recreation as a camp counselor for 20 years. Morehouse was an amazingly compassionate woman who enjoyed assisting individuals with special needs her entire life.
She was the loving widow of James Arthur Morehouse. She is survived by her sons, Frank (Maryann), of Sandy Hook, Conn.; James (Linda), of Fair Oaks, Calif.; Ward (Robin), Redmond, Ore.; and Mark (Marianne), of Fairfield, Conn.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield, on Thursday, March 19, from 5-8 p.m. The burial will be private at a later date.
