Constance Wells Oesau, 82, Fairfield Native

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Constance Wells Oesau, 82, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Harold (Mike) Oesau, M.D., passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, Aug. 16.

Born in Bridgeport, but a Stratford citizen and a graduate of Stratford High School, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elsie Wells, she lived in Stratford until her marriage in 1955. She spent the next 14 years living and working to assist with her husband's education, living in Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Bridgeport until moving to Fairfield in 1968.

Mrs. Oesau was a former member of the Patterson Club, was an avid tennis player and enjoyed her weekly Bridge games with her friends. A sociable, outgoing woman with a great sense of humor, Connie delighted in entertaining her friends and family. Survivors in addition to her loving husband Mike include two beloved sons, Michael Thomas Oesau of Shelton and Timothy Wells Oesau and his wife Janell of Maple Grove, MN; a sister, Joan Birks of Stratford; two cherished grandchildren, Emmett and Maeve Oesau; and three nephews, James, Martin and Kibby Birks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. meeting directly at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield.
