Curtiss Whiting Noyes, 86, Longtime Fairfield Resident, WWII Army Veteran

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Curtiss Whiting Noyes of Fairfield died Monday, May 6. He was 86.

Noyes was born in Boston, Mass., son of Ernest and Annie Noyes, he had been a Fairfield resident for many years. He attended Northeastern University and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Noyes is survived by his wife, Suzanne Noyes; children, Heather Noyes of Jupiter, Fla., Christopher Noyes of Mashpee, Mass., and Wendy Ditmars (Peter) of Westford, Mass.; six grandchildren; his former wife, Virginia Noyes of Concord, Mass.; step daughters, Ann Micklos of Cocoa, Fla., and Sara Payne (Brian) of Roswell, Ga.; a step-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Peter Noyes; an infant daughter, Heidi Noyes; sister, Marguerite Bither; and brother, Douglas Noyes.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fairfield at a later date and will be announced.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Choral Music Ministry Fund at St. Paul's Church, Fairfield.
