FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Edward E. Parker Sr., a longtime Fairfield resident, died Monday, Oct. 5. He was 98.
Parker was a veteran of World War II, serving in France, Germany, North Africa, Sicily and the island of Corsica under General Patton and participating in the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp.
He was predeceased by his wife Esther, granddaughter Amy and sister Betty.
Parker is survived by his son Ted, daughter Janis, granddaughter Allison and grandsons Christopher Francis and Jaime, three great grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, and Maris and his brother Ken.
Services will be private.
