Elizabeth Graham, 82, Of Greens Farms

WESTPORT, Conn. – Elizabeth Herold Graham of Greens Farms died Dec. 24 at Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. She was 82.

Born May 15, 1930, in Boston, Graham lived most of her formative life in Fairfield. She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School and St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

While living in New York City, Graham was the first female senior financial analyst for Value Line. She married William J. Graham in 1968 and joined the Will Graham Advertising Company. She became president upon her husband's death in 1975.

Known as "Betsy," she was a member of the Junior League of New York City and Eastern Fairfield County and Greens Farms Garden Club, where she served on the board and as president.

Graham received the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut Lifetime Award for her contributions. She was proud of the work she did through the garden club at Bridgeport Hospital, her family said. She established a greenhouse for garden therapy and ran weekly programs.

She was a member of St. Paul's Church in Fairfield, where she was active in the prayer group.

Graham is survived by three sisters, Estelle H. Flack, of Southport, Melora H. North, of East Orleans, Mass., and Deborah H. Swigart, of Washington, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; and her caregiver of 3 ½ years, Dorota Dec, of Bridgeport.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will be private. Spear-Miller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
