Emelia B. Osowski, 99, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Emelia B. Osowski, 99, of Fairfield, wife of the late William Osowski, died Wednesday, June 24 at Middlebrook Farms in Trumbull, Connecticut.

Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Bisiewicz, she had been a Fairfield resident for 48 years prior to moving to Trumbull. She was a graduate of Wilby High School in Waterbury and had worked for the Waterbury Clock Company prior to raising her family.

Osowki was a long-time parishioner of St. Pius X Church, and loved to play bridge, crocheting and baking for her family and friends. She was a member of the Fairfield Welcome Wagon. She delighted in time spent with her neighbors and friends and loved to entertain.

She is survived by three children, Mark Osowski (Patricia) of Danbury, Connecticut; David Osowski (Elaine) of Austin, Texas; Elaine Osowski of Norwalk; and three grandchildren.

In addition to her husband William and her parents, she was predeceased by a brother.

Friends may call Sunday, June 27  from 3-6 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairfield Fire Dept., 140 Reef Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 or to Liberation Programs, 129 Glover Ave., Norwalk, CT 06850.
