FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Enrico Pavoni of Fairfield died Sunday, June 23. He was 93.
Pavoni was born and raised in Bridgeport to Maria and Attilio Pavoni. He attended the Bridgeport Public Schools and was a World War II veteran who served in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1946 in the United States Army. After the war, he settled in Fairfield, with his wife and family. He worked as a butcher and manager for Lobovitz and Sons and the Plaza Beef Company in Bridgeport for almost 50 years.
Pavoni is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Gary Pavoni (Teresa) of Maryland; Karen Pavoni Louie (Christopher) of Bridgeport; Bruce Pavoni (Patricia) of Fairfield and Cynthia Pavoni Fino (John) of Weston; 11 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 29 at 12 p.m. meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
