Eugene Krushinski, 78, Of Fairfield, Retired Sikorsky Aircraft Employee

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Eugene (Gene) Christopher Krushinski of Fairfield died Sept. 19. He was 78.

Krushinski was born March 29, 1936, in Dixon City, Pa., to William and Helen Woloch Krushinski, and was a longtime Bridgeport and Fairfield resident. He worked at Carpenter Steel, Bridgeport until they closed and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft. After retirement he joined "Project from the Heart", an organization making up goodie boxes with supplies and treats to send to soldiers overseas. He served in the Naval Reserves. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish for many years.

Krushinski is survived by his wife, Cathy Corso Krushiniski; sons, Anthony (Tony) (Diane) Krushinski, Ken Krushinski; daughter, Michele Krushinski all of Fairfield; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy (Richard) Kuroghlian of Fairfield; many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave. The funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Family RC Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be held in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
