Eunice Greenberg, 84, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Eunice (Schutzer) Greenberg of Fairfield died Saturday, Dec. 28. She was 84.

Greenberg was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y.; daughter of William and Cora (Marcuse) Schutzer. She spent her early years in Brooklyn and Long Island and moved to Connecticut in 1941, residing in Bridgeport and Fairfield for over 70 years. After raising her family, she returned to school and earned her degree in Human Services at the University of Connecticut. She was employed as a counselor / family therapist at CT. Renaissance / Alternatives in Westport and at her private practice "The Growing Place". She was a dancer and technical manager with the Confetti Dance Theater. She also taught weight control for several companies and Smoke Enders for the Bridgeport Board of Education Adult Education program.

Greenberg is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Clifford Greenberg and Andrea, Jeffrey Trinin and Susy, Philip Phillips, and Linda-Jo Greenberg and David; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Leona Trinin; several cousins; and nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her parents.

Shiva will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Greenberg residence, 125 Melville Drive Fairfield, CT. 06825.

Contributions may be made in Greenberg’s honor to the Visiting Nurse Services Hospice Program or the Cancer Society of your choice.
