Fairfield's Mark Mojcher, 57, Co-Owner Of Black Rock Catering Firm

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Mark Stephen Mojcher of Fairfield, the co-owner of Along Came Carol Boutique Catering and Creative Events as well as The Nook in Black Rock, died Tuesday, April 4. He was 57.

He was born in Bridgeport to Frank and Dorothy Mojcher and was a lifelong Fairfield resident.

Mark Mojcher was co-owner of Along Came Carol Boutique Catering and Creative Events as well as The Nook, in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. In addition to the business, he was a fixture at local farmers markets. He and his wife, Carol, were among the first vendors at the Black Rock Farmers Market.

Growing up, Mojcher, nicknamed “Moish” by his teammates, was a star athlete and an accomplished shortstop. He continued to be active in sports and was a member of several recreational softball teams. 

Throughout his life, he collected many eccentric items but was passionate for all things Spiderman. He was the #1 Spiderman fan.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Bradshaw Lentini; daughter, Scarlett Grace Lentini-Mojcher; mother, Dorothy Mojcher of Fairfield; brother Jeff Mojcher and his wife, Bobbi, and their daughter, Jamie, all of Oakland, Calif.; and his dogs, Tallulah Belle and Samantha. 

He was predeceased by his father, Frank George Mojcher; and his aunt, Helen “Dale” Pjura.

Friends may greet his family on Saturday, April 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center. 

Friends are invited to come and share their favorite stories of Mark Mojcher in the latter part of the visiting hours. 

A formal Celebration of Life Service will take place in June with details to be announced at a later date.
