FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Frances McGowan Takacs, 88, of Fairfield, died Sunday, June 14.
Takacs was a registered nurse at Carolton in Fairfield, until her retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen A. Takacs of Chicago, Ill.; one son, William J. Takacs Jr. of Fairfield; one sister, Helen Raucci of Oxford; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
Her husband, William J. Takacs; and one daughter, Mary Frances Sanford, preceded her in death.
Calling hours will be from 9:45-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave., Bridgeport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Holy Family Parish, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
Interment will be in the Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001.
