Francis Lawrence Nolfi, 69, Retired From Fairfield Police Department

GOSHEN, Ind. - Francis Lawrence Nolfi of Goshen, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Aug. 22. He was 69.

Nolfi was born Sept. 29, 1944, in Bridgeport, Conn., to Francis Lawrence Nolfi Sr. and Mary Agriesto Nolfi. Before his retirement in 1993, he was with the Fairfield Police Department for over 25 years. For 11 of those years, he was in charge of the Fairfield Marine Patrol based out of South Benson Marina.

Nolfi is survived by his wife, Sherrin; brother, Robert A. Nolfi of Southbury and Richard D. Nolfi (Catherine) of Fairfield; nephews and nieces; great nephew and niece; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of Nolfi's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 141 Greenwood Ave., Route 202, Bethel, Conn.
