Bogardus was born June 21, 1932, in Bridgeport; daughter of Ralph and Cecelia Lester Deaso. She was raised in Bridgeport and later moved to Fairfield after her marriage. She worked for several companies over the years. Her last employer was Stop and Shop in Fairfield.
Bogardus is survived by her sons, John (Patricia) of Fairfield and David (Joanna) of Seymour; her daughters, Linda (Ken) Facer of Naugatuck and Beverly (Ed) Seymour of Hamden; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Frederick D. Bogardus; and brothers, Jack, Ralph, Bobby, Vinny and Donny.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23 at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center with Rev. Victor Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
