Hyde was born Sept. 9, 1927, and raised in Bridgeport, he was a resident of Fairfield for many years. After serving in the United States Navy during World War II, he worked for SNET until his retirement in 1982. He continued his career with EXTEL Communication until his second retirement in 1998.
Hyde is survived by his wife, Doris Marie Brideau Hyde; children, Mark Hyde (Jo Ann Tigner) of Fairfield, Lory Lee (Henry) of Huntington, Nancy Holomakoff of Fairfield, David Hyde of Trumbull, Margaret Sherwood (Thomas) of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Richard Hyde (Rose); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place Monday, June 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with interment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
