SOUTHPORT, Conn. - Helen Rogers Ruggiero Stevens, of Southport and a longtime Norwalk resident, died Monday, March 11. She was 91.
Stevens was born in Norwalk on Nov. 16, 1921, daughter of Amor and Helen Coleman Williamson. She was employed with Biersdorf, Inc., for 20 years and then the Choate School for 15 years. Helen was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxilliary.
Stevens is survived by her children Russell Rogers, Helen “Jackie” Chaloux, Mary Jane Ruggiero, Louis Ruggiero, Patricia Powers, and Cathleen Rogers, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Patrick Rogers and Leland Stevens.
Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 15, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 85 S. Main St., Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
