FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Ida J. Piazza of Fairfield, died Nov. 3 at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. She was 97.
She was born Oct. 27, 1915, in Bridgeport, the daughter of Louis and Mary Cocivi Pietrantonio. A retired assembler for Dictaphone Corp., Piazza was an avid knitter who enjoyed needlework. She was married to Frank Piazza, who predeceased her.
Piazza is survived by two sisters, Adeline Cataldo, of Fairfield, and Rose (Charles) Napoli, of Southbury; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Isabell Faris; and a brother-in-law, Nicholas Faris.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home in Trumbull, Conn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Fairfield. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Fairfield. Calling hours are from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
