FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Irene P. Bodie, 73, of Fairfield, died on Feb. 10 at her home.
Born in Fairfield, the daughter of the late John and Irene Prion, Mrs. Bodie had been a lifelong town resident.
A graduate of Andrew Warde High School, she was a 30-year member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, a Norwalk Oyster Festival volunteer, and a member of H.O.G. and the American Motorcycle Assoc.
She is survived her husband of years Richard; sons John (Jeanne) Bodie of Monroe, Donald (Julie) of Fairfield, William (Sharon) of Fairfield and Richard (Joanne) of Woodbury; a sister, Anne Korchman of Fairfield; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12 in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
