FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Jane Mannix Tynan of Fairfield died Aug. 6 at her home. She was 97.
Tynan was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was married to Edward A. Tynan. She was a homemaker and a great cook and was a longtime member of St. Pius X Church and had a special devotion to St. Martha.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Elizabeth O'Connor, of Fairfield; a son, Douglas Michael (Patricia) Tynan, of Annandale, Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; her son-in-law, Joseph F. O'Connor; and four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Spear-Miller Funeral Home in Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, at St. Pius X Church. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
