FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Jean R. Serlin of Fairfield died Wednesday, Aug. 14. She was 104.
Serlin was born in New York, N.Y., daughter of Jacob and Fannie Estrin, and was the last survivor of ten siblings. She was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, the Sisterhood of Rodeph Sholom, Women's American O.R.T., and Hadassah.
Serlin was is survived by her sons, William Serlin (Diane) of Fairfield, F. R. Dax Serlin (Jane); six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
Services will take place Friday, Aug. 16 at 11:30 a.m. directly at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery 1400 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield. Shiva will be observed at the Serlin residence Friday, Aug. 16 following services and Sunday, Aug. 18 from 1 to 7 p.m.
