Jeanne M. Crowley, 92, Longtime Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Jeanne M. Crowley of Fairfield died Saturday, Nov. 8. She was 92.

Crowley was born in Bridgeport, to Charles and Regina Duhamel, she was a longtime Fairfield resident. She was active in Girl Scouts for over 65 years, serving as a leader on various committees, as well as being a board member. She also volunteered for over 24 years for the United Way in Bridgeport. She was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield.

Crowley is survived by her husband, Edward V. Crowley, Sr.; children, Edward V. Crowley, Jr. of Fairfield, Kathleen M. Crowley of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Maureen A. Sperl of Huntington, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Shaughnessy-Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, in Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield. Inurnment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
