John Bannon, 66, Of Fairfield, Financial And Consumer Products Salesman

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - John Bannon of Fairfield died Friday, Oct. 17. He was 66.

Bannon was born Feb. 13, 1948, in Bridgeport, to Raymond and Irene Bannon. He graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in 1965. He attended Sacred Heart University, and after graduating college, served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He had a 42-year career in the sales of financial and consumer products, which included insurance, autos, and wines and spirits. He was with a large wholesale distributor of wines and spirits in Connecticut for more than 30 years.

Bannon is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Bannon; sons, Scott (Stacey) and Sean (Valerie) Bannon; five grandchildren; sister, Patricia Thibodeau of Bridgeport; and nephews and nieces. 

He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Patrick Bannon.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
