John Gulash Jr., 89, Former Fairfield Resident, Army Veteran

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – John Gulash Jr., 89, a former Fairfield resident, died Friday, April 3.

He was a son of the late John and Anna Slosar Gulash of Bridgeport.

Gulash lived in Long Island and Bridgeport most of his life.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II and the Korean War.

He worked for Xerox Corporation until his retirement.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary (Joseph) Hoffee of Brookline, Mass.; one son, John Gulash of Rutland, Vt.; one sister-in-law, Anne Chatlos of Fairfield; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His wife, Mary Marosa Gulash; and one brother-in-law, George Chatlos, preceded him in death.

Calling hours will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.

Burial with full military honors will follow in the Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield.
